Spiti Valley

Landscape photography has always been a personal passion of mine. In 2019, that passion took me to Spiti Valley in the Indian Himalayas, where I spent 15 days travelling through some of the region’s most remote terrain. The journey later became Spiti Landscapes and Abstracts, a printed coffee table book.

The journey itself involved long days on mountain roads, freezing conditions and camping at close to 15,000 feet above sea level. The thin air, isolation and limited infrastructure made it physically demanding, but also gave me the time and distance to experience the landscape in a completely different way.

Each photograph was carefully selected to reflect the vastness, stillness and raw character of Spiti Valley, bringing together a visual record of a landscape that feels almost untouched by time. The final collection was curated into a coffee table book centred entirely around the photographs and the journey they captured.
